C3 releases for December 31, 2013:

New! New Year’s Eve Dance Party 6-pack

  • ABBA – “Dancing Queen” (Nyxyxylyth)
  • ABBA – “Mamma Mia” (drummerockband)
  • Black Lace – “Superman” (Gigakoops)
  • Donna Summer – “Hot Stuff” (farottone)
  • Gloria Gaynor – “I Will Survive” K (farottone)
  • The Weather Girls – “It’s Raining Men” (farottone)

A red X denotes Pro Guitar/Pro Bass, a blue M denotes full multitracks, and a blue K denotes a “karaoke” multitrack (separated vocals).

New Year’s Eve is a time for partying harder than Andrew W.K. (Well, that’s impossible, but you should strive for at least 10 milliAndrews.) Amidst the booze, conical hats, and giant mirrored balls, we hope you’ll find time for some Rock Band!

This pack was conceived by farottone, who has contributed three disco classics: Donna Summer’s “Hot Stuff”, Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive”, and The Weather Girls’ “It’s Raining Men”. Hallelujah! If that injection of disco isn’t enough for you, Nyxyxylyth gives us some more with “Dancing Queen”, and drummerockband continues the ABBAfication with the famous “Mamma Mia”. (These two songs join “Money, Money, Money” to flesh out C3’s ABBA presence.) Gigakoops finishes out the pack with Black Lace’s “Superman”, which gives step-by-step instructions on how to be an awkward ’80s dance bomb. Truly, this pack is a majestic collection of songs to bring out the awkward ’70s and ’80s white boy dancing that lives inside of you. Inside of all of us. A thing of beauty.

Official DLC may have ended in April, but we’ve been happy to serve you content for the other 37 weeks of 2013. You guys have made our freshman year of Rock Band customs a huge success, and we hope that we’ll be celebrating again on New Year’s Eve 2014! Keep checking back every week for more hype, more variety, and more of the songs you love.

See you on January 10!

  1. Looks like I’m having a disco themed party tonight? #yolo

Happy new year, everybody! Party hard, but party SAFE. Call a taxi, you drunkards.

  2. Excellent pack. Never would’ve expected myself to be so excited for a pack of songs like this but… they’re just so much fun.

I want to express my gratitude for what you’ve done for the Rock Band community. It’s great to see so many people caring about this game after all these years. Hope you can continue strong into 2014.

    Thank you!

  3. I want to echo what everyone else has said. What you all do at C3 is pretty amazing and I really appreciate all the hard work. You’ve kept the spirit of RB alive with tons of great music and I hope 2014 is the same as 2013. I’ll be here, I know that!

    Happy New Year!

  4. This is awesome, January 10th being my birthday, I can only hope for great stuff, but it usually is, so I doubt I have anything to worry about =D Happy New Year C3.

  5. Welcoming 2014 with some great tracks! Looking forward to even more in the year ahead. Thanks to everyone involved in these projects for keeping the spirit of Rock Band alive.

  6. These were some awesome tracks! The only problem is that the vocal track for one of these songs (I forget which one, we made a setlist yesterday) is way off, like a whole half a verse. I know its not Superman or it’s Raining Men.

    • In addition, ‘I’m Will Survive’ was terribly charted on guitar. I do not know if C3 released a test version by accident or it slipped through play testing. The guitar did not match up at all in the beginning and then eventually stopped altogether before starting back again. Further, the lip-sync was bad and the song ended halfway through a lyric.

  7. Very sorry guys, I messed up a last minute fix to I WIll Survive that threw the whole song out of sync. The correct version should now be up. Again, terribly sorry, stupid mistake on my part.

  8. Super Great Pack guys, when I saw the preview video I could not believe my eyes, lol such great classics put together for a perfect RB3 party, THANK YOU SO MUCH AND A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR C3..

  9. I agree with everything here, this blog is amazing and even though I would still play RB3 for many years to come, these customs make it even more enjoyable!!!

  10. Hi Farottone I just redownloaded I Will Survive, and still is out sync the lyrics and the rest of the instruments, sorry to bother you have a great weekend and thank you.
