New! Anti-Valentine’s Day 5-pack

  • Bullet for My Valentine – “Hand of Blood” (Nightmare Lyra and Gigakoops) (incl. 2x Bass Pedal)
  • Neil Diamond – “Love on the Rocks” (clintilona)
  • Nine Inch Nails – “Big Man with a Gun” (DeathThreatUK)
  • Static-X – “Love Dump” (DeathThreatUK) (incl. 2x Bass Pedal)
  • Strapping Young Lad – “Love?” (DeathThreatUK) (incl. 2x Bass Pedal)

A red X denotes Pro Guitar/Pro Bass, a blue M denotes full multitracks, and a blue K denotes a “karaoke” multitrack (separated vocals).

Ah, love. Constant low-level possessiveness and jealousy, regular fights over trivial things, the ragged feeling of despair as your heart is twisted and broken, a burning hatred of every one of your SO’s tiny flaws that started as minor annoyances and have turned into sharpened stakes under your fingernails…it’s not always sunshine and rainbows, is it? This week, DeathThreatUK, clintilona, Nightmare Lyra, and Gigakoops give a big ol’ middle finger to Valentine’s Day and its wanton celebration of silly human emotions with some heavy, screamy, sludgy anti-love songs. (And Neil Diamond.) This pack includes some of the most M-rated songs we’ve ever released! I’ll let you decide which ones I’m talking about.

We’ve got some big news this week! Thanks to TDCMark, we’re happy to announce that custom songs are now playable on jailbroken PS3s! There are two big caveats — you cannot pause the game during a custom and individual sections won’t work in Practice Mode — but this is a huge step forward from nothing. Our database now features a “PS3” column for downloads in this format, and all new releases will now be simultaneously available for Xbox 360, Wii, Phase Shift, and PS3. TDCMark is working hard to convert our entire back catalog to the PS3 format, and you can convert your own customs with TrojanNemo’s amazing C3 CON Tools (formerly Le Fluffie C3). If you have a jailbroken PS3 and want to get this set up, check out TDCMark’s how-to thread on our forums. We’re happy to have you guys in our little Rock Band family!

Will next week be an actual Valentine’s pack? It’s a mystery. A love mystery. A love shack. Rock lobster.

See you next Friday!

  1. All of you are just plain amazing, thanks for the work you put into this and your tireless efforts to get it working on 3 different consoles.

  2. Hey all, just a quick post to let you know an error was made when “Love?” and “Love Dump” were uploaded, in which slightly older versions with missing parts were let out instead of the release versions. This has now been amended in the database, and on the blog post. Apologies for the inconvenience!

  3. Incredible week!! But for a perfect sense anti-valentines day, “A little peace of Heaven” from Avenged Sevenfold would be perfect! Maybe, next year. You all do a incredible work!
